Dear all,
Preparations for the new season are now underway. An AGM is planned for early September which as in previous years may include awards and a fixtures meeting as well.
We are always looking to add new blood to the committee, so if anyone is interested in any position (or simply joining the committee in general) please advise. We are particularly looking for a fixtures secretary/league manager as Lois would like to pass this on after many years of excellent service. If there is anyone in your club who could be interested, then please let us know.
We also need to know who wants to play in the leagues this coming season. If I have missed anyone, then please ask them to contact me.
Can you therefore let me have the following information ASAP (Deadline Fri. 26/08/22) ?
- Team name
- League – women, men, mixed
- Playing venue – if known. All teams outside the GMVA area will need to specify this however as due to concerns over travel distances it could be significant in determining entry to the leagues.
- Home fixtures playing day – if known.
It is also good to see that a number of clubs are working with juniors. If there is demand, it may be possible to initiate develop this further. If you have junior groups, please advise and specify age group etc. so as a minimum this can be circulated to facilitate some games.
